Sorting out old papers and stuff I came across this programme and the reviews of this Glyndebourne commissioned opera. Premiered in October 1994, I worked on the Piano score (I arranged and copied it) for Universal Edition. It was I remember an enjoyable evening, one of the few times I got to see something I had been involved in for months previously. Harrison Birtwistle later told me I'd done "a bloody good job" which chuffed me no end.
