This extraordinary multi-level crossing of train tracks is a testament to the belief in public transport and infrastructure. As I understand it, it kind of replaces the old Hamburger-Bahnhof and Lehrter-Bahnhof and has introduced a north to south route, a bit like the Thameslink in London.
