Easy to take this intricate structure for granted. It is maybe not completely unique in the UK, but very different from most victorian stations in that the buildings and canopies have had to accommodate the curves of the diverging London and Brighton lines. The gap between the canopies in the middle of the shot is above where the old Uckfield line platform was.
